Science Experiments
Why did that happen? How does this work? Curiousity is at the centre of our children's world's. It is at the foundation of invention and creativity.
Experiences with science can nurture that curiosity and satisfy some of that yearning to understand WHY. Understanding how organisms are all connected also gives depth to their sense of stewardship of the Earth.
Art & Craft Activities
In addition to allowing children to creatively express themselves, successfully completed art and craft activities give children a great sense of pride and acccomplishment. With this in mind, we consider the importance of choosing arts and crafts that are suitable for each child’s skill level. As our campers begin to explore more crafts, we may add more and more challenges offering opportunities for creativte exploration of materials with their projects.
Drama, Dancing & Music
The arts strengthen problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. How do I express this feeling through my dance? How should I play this character? Learning how to make choices and decisions will certainly carry over into their education and other parts of life, which is certainly a valuable skill in adulthood. During group projects, children must share responsibility and compromise to achieve their common goal. They also earn that their contribution to the group is integral to its success.
Educational Field Trips
Over the course of our last few vacation camps we have taken a number of field trips. Campers have had the opportunity to visit the Sustainable Barbados Recycling Centre, Welchman Hall Gully, the Museum and a number of national parks, to name a few. Children's skills of memory are enhanced through real-world, hands-on experiences. Therefore, our camp themes are generally related to the particular field trip location.
Daily Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is a big part of healthy growth, learning, development and well-being for all children. Playing outside gives them the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures.
They can play their favourite games, test their physical limits, express themselves and build their self-confidence as they master new skills.

Child care will be available for our usual campers and new friends this Summer. We have made changes to our camp rates.
